Biography
Alejandra Ramos Gómez is a poet, writer, speaker, and educational consultant born and raised in Juárez, México. She resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is an Ed. M. Candidate at Harvard Graduate School of Education in their Human Development and Education Program (Arts & Learning concentration). She is also the founder of We Are Poderosas, a bilingual self-empowerment and spoken word initiative for girls.
Alejandra earned a BA in Political Science and Linguistics from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. She has collaborated as a consultant with organizations across the U.S. and Latin America, including Consult 4Ed Group, Journeyman Ink, Galapagos Conservancy, and Education PowerED.
Ramos Gómez was a Unite 2030 Youth Delegate and served as the editor of Impactando Dallas, a Spanish column for Dallas Doing Good. Her work appears in international media, including United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative, TEDx, Chachalaca Review, NPR’s Latino USA, Ms. Magazine, Better, Take the Lead Women, UNICEF, and Visible Magazine.
Imperfecta, her debut bilingual poetry book, explores the intersectionality of our experiences as women, Latinas, and immigrants.

Biografía
Alejandra Ramos Gómez es una poeta, escritora, oradora y consultora educativa originaria de Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. Actualmente vive en Cambridge, Massachusets, donde estudia una maestría en Desarrollo Humano y Educación (especializada en arte y aprendizaje) en la Universidad de Harvard. Asimismo es fundadora de We Are Poderosas, una iniciativa bilingüe de empoderamiento, escritura y oratoria para niñas.
Alejandra tiene una licenciatura en ciencias políticas y lingüística de la Universidad de Texas en El Paso y una maestría en educación bilingüe de la Universidad Metodista del Sur. Ella ha trabajado como consultora con organizaciones en EE.UU. y países de Latinoamérica, incluyendo Journeyman Ink, Galapagos Conservancy y Education PowerED.
Ramos Gómez fue delegada juvenil de Unite 2030 y se desempeño como editora de Impactando Dallas, una columna en español de Dallas Doing Good. Su trabajo aparece en medios internacionales incluyendo la Iniciativa Educativa Femenil de las Naciones Unidas, TEDx, Chachalaca Review, NPR’s Latino USA, Ms. Magazine, Better, Take the Lead Women, UNICEF y Visible Magazine.
Imperfecta es su primer libro de poesía bilingüe, en el cual explora la interseccionalidad de nuestras experiencias cómo mujeres, latinas e inmigrantes.
